What if at the end of the transfer window your manager comes up to you and says: "Look, we’ve had pre-season to look at you and we don’t think you’ll be getting loads of game time this season. However, we’ve got an opportunity for you to go out on loan to club X, which could be essential for your development." Only problem – the club’s at the other end of the country. What do you do? Would you go? What about your family? Do you commute? Surely that’s not feasible.
In this week’s episode we’ll be discussing the transfer market with all its rumours and speculations. Further we’ll be addressing the different lengths in transfer windows between the men’s and women’s game, will be highlighting the difficult decisions that have to be made during this time and lastly will be discussing the role and incentive money plays in such transfers.
