Back on international duty, back to Nations League. Scotland currently sit bottom of the table and have everything to play for in these next two games against Belgium and England. In this episode, we will be discussing the upcoming games for Scotland and the role the results of the remaining games within the group could have for not only the final standings but more interestingly the qualification for the Olympics in 2024. A bizarre situation to say the least. Further we will address the question around the immense load of players in relation to their wellbeing and welfare. For months players have gone from club to country and back to club again to compete for and represent their teams at the highest level. Every player at the highest level wants to play every game they can for their club and country, but when is it too much? When are we putting athletes at too high risk and what needs to happen to protect the players from physical and mental overload? What are key factors in athletes managing this load and being mentally and physically ready to compete every single week for many months at a time?
